NRCFA End of season events
You should be receiving a notification (email/letter) of various events for all referees.![]()
- Criminal Record Checks (CRC) – 14 April & 7 May
- Whole Game System (WGS) used by the FA – 21 May
- Fitness Tests – 1 September 2014
Criminal Record Checks (CRC)
For all those referees over 16 years of age (or nearing 16) you need to do a CRC if you wish to officiate in U18 football from 1Sept 2014.
You can do this online at www.onlinecrb.tmgcrb.co.uk using your email address and the ID / password you will receive. Complete this and then attend one of the Drop In Sessions at York College (14 April 7 May), with your documents to be verified. There is no cost for this.
Whole Game System (WGS)
You can now register as a referee using the WGS at https://wholegame.thefa.com, using your FAN number and password. You can pay your £20 registration fee with this process. If you do so before 15 May you may receive a prize donated by NRCFA.
Also Misconduct Reports will be processed using WGS and not via the discipline@northridingfa.com emails system. Guidance can be found at www.thefa.com/my-football/more/whole-game/referee-reporting and NRCFA is holding a workshops at York College on Wed 21 May, starting at 1830 hrs, for those who wish to attend.
Fitness Tests
The York test is being held at Ryedale Huntington Stadium on Monday 1 September 2014, starting at 1830 hrs. Only those passing the test will be eligible for NRCFA Finals. Just turn up on the evening (for the run / sprints,) where Blood Pressure tests will be held by an authorised practitioner free of charge.

Minutes of meeting held at NHS S&S Club
On 3rd April 2014 with 25 members present.
Apologies, were received from Mssrs; Bradbury, Milburn, J Ballantyne, Godson, Allanby and Ms Humphrys
Minutes of last meeting, were read with no matters arising.
Correspondence, re, charity match, appeal for refs, Sharon Shortle was read. Congratulations were given to all who had gained promotions.
Dinner and Lol Cussons Evening, Reports were given for a successful Lol Cussons evening though we would like to see more members attend. After deep discussion on the dinner it was decided to send a letter listing our complaints regarding the meal, service and bar. Photos from the event here.
Subs were now due, £23 rising to £25 in September. There as an increase in benefit for stolen gear at no extra cost. Anyone interested in joining the club can do so for £6.00.
Cup Final Tickets, Jan Suchecki was first out followed by Richard Simpson then Ben Ballantyne.

A.G.M anyone interested in putting forward for the committee were asked to do so.
There being no speaker the meeting was opened up, there followed debate on various items including; 5-a-side discipline; social media; red cards. Advice was given to the new level 4s as to what is expected of them, on and off the pitch.
A.o.B. P Hartley outlined a charity cycle ride he is organising, appealed for helpers and sponsors. More details here.

The last paragraph highlights some good news – from the start of next membership year 1st April the RA have increased its insurance cover for you for now not only is your referee kit covered by insurance if stolen, your clothing and personal effects have been added to the value of £200 this is free of charge, but it must have been stolen from a locked dressing room or locked car, the theft must be reported to the police together with a crime number must be obtained.

on 6th March 2014 with 25 members present.
Before starting the meeting the chairman reiterated protocol procedure regarding mobile phones, trips to the bar and toilet when speakers are talking, which gives a bad impression.

Dinner and Lol Cussons Evening: details were given for both.
Subs: for the coming season starting 1st April were set at £23 going to £25 in Sept, also anyone interested in joining the social club could do so with subs at £6.
The evening’s guest Mark Sullivan, Senior lecturer in sport, exercise and health at St Johns, and a Queens Bodygaurd of the Yeomen of the Guard gave an interesting and different presentation regarding the workings/ duties/requirements of the Queens Bodyguard.
A.O.B. congratulations were given to all our members who had received CFA final appointments.
CRB, those doing regular youth football will have to update shortly. It will be online , then take your documents to be verified when arranged.
