The workshops are aimed at those who want to gain some experience of becoming an Assistant Referee and also any Match Official Levels 8, 7, 6 or 5 who would like some additional training as an Assistant Referee and improve their technique.

The workshops will involve both Classroom and Practical training with the following subjects covered:

Ø  The Role of an Assistant Referee – Classroom

Ø  Pre Match Instructions – Classroom

Ø  Laws of the Game Updates – Classroom

Ø  Basics of Assistant Refereeing – Practical Session

Ø  Offside – Practical Session

Ø  Supporting the Referee – Practical Session

Registration will be from 6.00pm and the workshops will commence promptly at 6.15pm and conclude for around 9.00pm.

If you would like to reserve a place at one of the workshops please contact Ross Joyce, Referee Development Officer – ross.joyce@northridingfa.com or 01642 717774 by Monday, 08 August 2016.

We have limited places on each workshop so we would advise booking your place ASAP to avoid disappointment.

Please note that the dress code for the workshops is sportswear, i.e. a tracksuit, but you should bring a change of training kit for the outdoor sessions.

The outdoor sessions will take place on grass, and therefore you should bring football boots as per a normal match day.

Please ensure that you bring your own flags and a whistle. (We will have a limited supply for those who do not have an AR flag)

Given that the weather is likely to be warm, please ensure that you bring a water bottle, or some form of drink, in order to stay hydrated and alert throughout the evening.

A full confirmation and final agenda will be sent to all delegates a few days prior to the workshops.
